❯ Fitness Activity Tracker
This isn’t a Git contribution graph, instead this chart helps me keep track of my daily or monthly walks and runs by recording the total time for each session. I have a goal of 1 hour and 5 minutes, so I always try to match or beat that time during every session.
I mainly use the daily tracker. Before start a new log, I set up my stopwatch and choose one of the three routes I’ve already established around my neighborhood. Two of them are approximately 4.6 km and 4.5 km, while the shortest one is about 2.9 km.
When I finish the session, I upload the final time to my personal database and within seconds my website automatically displays the updated results showing the percentage of the time achieved for each walk or run in a simple way.

The bar design and the way the information is presented were heavily inspired by a display found on one of Casio’s sports watches. I chose this style because of its minimalist look, and because it also gives a nice indication of the moon phases, one of my favorite details.
